It would’ve been fun, according to my far flung correspondents who reported the Potters were aggressive at both ends to earn a second victory opening the 2024-25 season.

With his team in foul trouble early, coach Bob Becker moved the Potters into a 2-3 zone. Then, he said, “We settled in and played well mostly. Coming home with a running-clock solid road win. A few areas to improve upon but nothing alarming.”

Paige Selke led the Potters scoring with 20, Ellie VanMeenen had 19, Abby VanMeenen 10. Anja Ruxlow, Abby Brooks, and Penelope Brand each had 3, Julia Laufenberg 2.

Next up, at the Potterdome on the Friday after Thanksgiving, will be Lincoln, the defending 3A state champions, twice winners over Morton last season.
